SPRING GREEN, Wis. – Taliesin Preservation has been recognized by National Geographic with a “Best of the World 2026” award for its Weekend Workshops.

Taliesin was nominated by Weekend Workshop participant and contributor Jacqueline Kehoe, who is part of National Geographic’s global community of writers, editors, photographers, and explorers. In their Best of the World Series, Taliesin Preservation’s Weekend Workshops were highlighted alongside destinations in Ireland, Africa, Turkey, Mongolia, and more as one of the best wellness retreats in the world for 2026.

According to Kehoe, “Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright’s masterfully designed Wisconsin home, may not seem like an obvious wellness destination. But any Wright fan will tell you the renowned 20th-century architect’s philosophy was rooted in creating spaces in harmony with nature that enhance human well-being.”

Weekend Workshop participants are offered the unique opportunity to stay on Frank Lloyd Wright’s 800-acre estate for three days and two nights while learning new skills, with ample time to rejuvenate, connect with others, take nature walks, and eat healthy meals.

According to Caroline Hamblen, Director of Programs at Taliesin Preservation, “We are thrilled and honored to have been nominated by Jacqueline Kehoe and given this prestigious award from National Geographic. Our Taliesin workshops offer a one-of-a-kind experience, inviting participants to make Taliesin—part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site—their home for a weekend. Guests disconnect from daily routines and fully immerse themselves in the beauty of Frank Lloyd Wright's organic principles—a harmony of nature, culture, and architecture.”

Registration is now open for our 2026 Weekend Workshops, where participation is limited to 10 guests. We invite you to join us and become part of the story, explore Taliesin in new ways, and help us to preserve this special place for generations to come.
