1827-2027 Mineral Point Bicentennial
Cut From Stone, Built By Community

The city of Mineral Point will be celebrating all year long during 2027. With a calendar of events that highlights the past and present of our vibrant community—from our mining history, to our arts culture, the rich contributions of farming, local businesses and organizations—we’re excited to share about our bicentennial celebration from January-December in 2027!
Highlights include:
● A Mineral Point anthology of memories, history, newspaper stories, and photographs, curated by Frank Beaman, Ron Dunbar, and Justin O’Brien
● July 4th Celebration with parade, fireworks, special invited guests & more
● Discussions & lectures about Mineral Point’s diverse history, and rich present
● Decorations on our city streets, celebrating Mineral Point families and their contributions to our community
● A Bicentennial Commemorative Coin, featuring artwork created for our celebration
● Bicentennial celebration gear will be available at the Mineral Point Chamber of Commerce and local shops. Right now, The Board Shoppe also has commemorative wooden cutting boards and coasters available for purchase, with a portion of each sale going toward the Bicentennial celebrations.
Want to be a part of the celebration? Email mineralpointbicentennial@gmail.com with your ideas. We’re highlighting one weekend each month in 2027 for a community-wide focus, and invite organizations, businesses, and individuals to join in making those dates extra celebratory!
