Folklore Village is a nationally recognized folk culture center set on 94 acres in Wisconsin’s Driftless Region. Established on the historic Farwell family farmstead, Folklore Village is a place of enrichment, connection, laughter, and renewal. The campus includes Farwell Hall, the 1893 Wakefield School, the 1882 Plum Grove Church, the reconstructed house of early Norwegian settler Aslak Lie, and 66 acres of restored prairies. Here, people of all ages come together year-round for joyous community, cultural education, historic preservation, and environmental stewardship, fostering understanding through the living traditions of folklife.
