About Us

One-of-a-kind heirlooms, artfully handcrafted and displayed inside one of Wisconsin's most historic breweries.

Owners, Tom & Diana Johnston have been making pottery together for over 45 years. Within this rambling former brewery, Tom & Diana, along with their daughter Claire, create wheel thrown pottery, distinctive textured pieces, and inlaid slab works of pottery. Mugs, bowls, vases, serving pieces, trays, and more. All the pottery is food safe and designed to be used and enjoyed daily. You'll often find one (sometimes all three!) of them working in the pottery studio, located within the gallery. Feel free to come in the studio to watch us work or ask us questions!

Inside the large gallery, you'll see their pottery as well as works from over 250 local, regional, and national artists. Enjoy paintings and sculptures by many local artists including (but not limited to) Bruce Fortney, Lauren Thuli, Julie Sutter-Blair, Sharon Nicholas, Nana Schowalter, Robert Clements, Rick Harris, and Kyle Martin. Diana Johnston also creates found object assemblage clocks, bright watercolors, and abstract oil/cold wax paintings. Her love of colors and oddities is evident in eclectic work.

At Brewery Pottery, you'll find items curated for the kitchen and home, jewelry (so many earrings!) and other wearables (purses, scarves, socks), blown glass, soft children's toys, nightlights, journals, baskets, and more. Truly something unique for everyone!
