    About Us

American Wine Project is a nationally-recognized winery focusing on crafting complex wines from locally sourced, cold-climate hybrid grapes. Woman-owned and operated, American Wine Project uses traditional European techniques to make low-intervention, natural wines that can be found in the best independent wine shops in New York and California, as well as Wisconsin, Illinois and Minnesota. Winemaker Erin Rasmussen trained in Napa Valley, Russian River Valley, and New Zealand before returning to Wisconsin to launch American Wine Project. AWP offers Mineral Point and the Driftless region an inviting, family-friendly destination for great wine and beer, small plate food choices, community events, and a beautiful patio and outdoor garden.
