Watercolor Collage: Enlightened Fauna

This workshop will focus on the techniques of paper collage with watermedia. Our subjects will be fauna set in a whimsical enlightened theme using watercolor, gouache, and acrylic. You’ll be able to handprint images from my personal hand carved stamps for collage. Learn how to use values to determine color choice placements for collage and contour drawing methods to design your images. We’ll also explore pouring and dropping in pigments onto paper to create color fusion. Create collage papers with crayons, pens, watercolor and acrylic inks for a full palette of colors. Mark making tools will include acrylic pens, stencils, resists for lines, textures and patterns. Materials Fee includes: Papers for collage, use of posca pens, acrylic inks, open acrylics, artist tape, sponges, hand carved stamps, stencils, brayers, small cups, liquid watercolors for pouring, references
