Twisted Spike Bottle Opener

Crack open a fresh project while you create this twisted spike bottle opener. You will learn to turn an ordinary railroad spike into an ornate and functional bottle opener that all your guests will want to use! You’ll start by heating your spike in a gas forge, and performing what are called “hot cuts” before taking your spike to the vice to make a “rope twist” or another twist method. Finally add those finishing touches to make your bottle opener spike as unique as you want it to be. Sorry no twist offs, but your forging skills will POP off while taking this course.

Student Supply List Closed toed shoes and a Miller P-100 half mask is recommended for welding scrap materials.
