Temari Earrings & Pendants
Temari are a traditional Japanese craft of patience and love, where thread or fabric balls are decorated with intricate and eye-catching embroidered designs. The origins of Temari date back about 1,400 years ago first used as a children’s toy made from old fabric and rice hulls. Over time Temari became an ultimate symbol of love and well wishes. In this class you will learn the basics of how to make your own small Temari balls that can be made into earrings or pendants. From wrapping a Temari core, to preparing the core for your design, and finally embroidering it with a traditional Japanese pattern. Clara will be supplying all the necessary materials so all you need to bring along is a desire to learn!Class size 15Level Beginner and aboveInstructor: Clara KassebaumLearn more: https://shakeragalley.org/product/26r0418c/If the workshop you're interested in is sold out, you can join the waitlist here: https://shakeragalley.org/workshops/
