Oil & Cold Wax Exploratory

Explore through instructor-led demos, and individual guidance—techniques that are fun, creative, and only limited by imagination. We will use printmaking methods, mark making, and add textures. What is hidden under layers will be uncovered by scraping, scratching, gouging, and the use of solvents. There are no mistakes in this class, only results yet to be discovered. You will leave with basic knowledge, a finished painting, and some works in progress. A variety of tools, substrates, and materials will be used along with my favorite methods to achieve fantastic results. Play with oils, powder pigments, wax crayon, oil pastels, pigment sticks, metallic leaf, and much more. Tools include brayers, palette knives, brushes, papers, skewers, scrapers, silicone, hand brooms, clay shaping tools and other favorites.
