John Moran
Kicking off the new year, (January 11th), Friday night live's musical guest is John Moran.
The Iowa native's bluesy voice, harmonica playing, and guitar licks were honed in the bars and honky-tonks up and down and east and west of the Mississippi River. He was a founding member of two Dubuque, IA bands that performed in the tri-states for many years: Longshot and Saddletramp. He currently plays with the Mississippi Band when he’s not soloing. He’s a veteran rocker who spent 13 years in Nashville, TN sharpening his songwriting and performing skills. He’s had his songs recorded by artists in California, New York, and Tennessee. Most recently, the Toronto based blues artist, Johnny Mac, on his Canadian release A Lesson I’ve Learned, recorded John’s song “If that Ain’t the Truth.” The CD was a Juno Award nominee for Best Blues Album and a Maple Blues nominee for Best Produced Album.
Gig starts at 7.30pm. No cover charge.
Pizzas of the gourmet, sweet treats and beverages of the fine kind will be served.
