In One’s Pocket
Join Kristin in a mixed media papery menagerie. In this two-day class, we will be making zine-type books full of color, stitching, drips, art marks, folds, and creativity—paper pockets full of goodness! Our zine pages will be filled with exploratory drips and dribbles, stenciled or stamped, sewn fabric bits, art marks, collage, found words, ribbony sashes, and pieces of everyday magic. Let’s do our own storytelling in these little books. As we make our zines and fill the pockets, we will explore composition and the visual appeal, while having a mindful conversation about color. This class is suitable for all experience levels, as we will walk on the side of permission. Material Fee includes: XL paper, stencils, stamps, sewing machines, fabric dyes, pieces of rubber block for carving stamps, possibly cyanotype depending on weather.Class size 15Level Beginner and aboveInstructor: Kristin PetersonLearn more: https://shakeragalley.org/product/26r0321l/If the workshop you're interested in is sold out, you can join the waitlist here: https://shakeragalley.org/workshops/
