Gas Forge Art: Framed Dragonfly

Create an 8″ x 8″ framed dragonfly on a background of cattail leaves to display on a shelf, mantle, or hang on a wall. In this beginning class, you will learn basic techniques of forming, texturing, and finishing. You will forge the cattail leaves from angle iron, and finish the dragonfly using various chisel and punch techniques. Finally, all the pieces will be welded into place. Various finishes and polishing tools and methods will be demonstrated to complete the project.

Materials fee includes an 8″ x 8″ metal frame and a laser cut dragonfly to begin the project.
