Color and Meaning: Oil & Cold Wax

Explore the versatility and richness of painting with R&F Pigment Sticks, oil and cold wax, with a focus on color. Through exercises and demonstrations, you will manipulate transparency, opacity, and temperature using a limited palette. This will expand your understanding of color and also provide you with a new vocabulary and vision for your expression. Revisit the language of art: composition, color, tension and space, scale and more. Demonstrations will include: tools such as brushes, knives, and scrapers to create a range of marks, textures, and surface treatments. Build layers, excavate, mono-print, glaze, and explore endless possibilities for mark-making. Lisa’s teaching concentrates on content, creativity, art making and technique, with an emphasis on helping you discover your unique marks and concepts.
