Updates from Delta 3 - Construction Progress Update #12
Traffic Control:
- Traffic control has been installed per the project plans.
- Please continue to follow road closed/traffic control signage.
- Flagging will be provided by contractor as needed.
- Between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:30 pm the contractor has full use of areas under construction (except for emergency vehicles).
Erosion Control:
- The contractor has installed erosion control, as per the project plans.
- During periods of dry weather, the contractor must provide dust control.
- Streets will be swept throughout construction to maintain cleanliness. Dust will be common during these operations.
Contractor’s Schedule (items started/completed this week):
- The retaining wall on South Street has been installed
- Contractor has installed traffic sign bases and poles
- Contractor prepared Old Darlington Road, Front Street, and South Street for asphalt paving.
- Contractor has done some landscaping on the Project Site; there will be more landscaping in the coming weeks.

- Week of June 29th:
- Contractor plans to stripe pavement on site on Tuesday, June 30th.
- Commerce and South Street will be closed for these operations

The following is an update as to what has happened recently on-site and what is planned to happen over the next two weeks:
Traffic Control:
- Traffic control has been installed per the project plans.
- The contractor will maintain traffic control during this project.
- Flagging will be provided by contractor as needed.
- Please follow road closed/traffic control signage.
- Between the hours of 7 am and 5:30 pm the contractor has full use of areas under construction (except for emergency vehicles).
Erosion Control:
- The contractor has installed erosion control, as per the project plans.
- During periods of dry weather, the contractor must provide dust control.
- Streets will be swept throughout construction to maintain cleanliness. Dust will be common during these operations.
Contractor’s Schedule (items started/completed):
- Contractor has completed Crack and Damage surveys for the Project.
- Contractor has begun installing water main south of the intersection of Commerce Street and Old Darlington Road and are moving north.
- Contractor has begun installing storm sewer between 105 and 23 Commerce Street.
Contractor’s Schedule (two-week outlook):
- Week of April 13th
- Contractor will continue installing water main on Commerce Street
- Contractor will continue installing storm sewer between 105 and 23 Commerce Street
- Contractor will begin installing storm sewer on Commerce Street and South Street (weather dependent).
- Contractor may begin installing sanitary sewer at the intersection of Commerce Street and Old Darlington Road and will move north.
- Possible scheduled water shutoff on Wednesday or Thursday. Once the exact date is known, residents/businesses/etc. will be notified.
- Week of April 20th
- Contractor plans to continue installing water main on Commerce Street
- Contractor plans to continue installing storm sewer on Commerce Street and South Street
- Contractor plans to continue or start installing sanitary sewer main on Commerce Street
Utility Relocations:
- There will be more utility relocations associated with this project.
- For any service interruptions for gas, electric, cable TV, telephone, and internet, you will be notified by the respective utility company prior to interruption.
- If any of these services are interrupted without notification, please contact the associated utility company in order to get service reinstalled.
Surveying:
- Delta 3 Engineering has performed project staking.
- The sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer on Commerce Street has been marked with pink flags, wooden hubs and colored paint.
- Please do not disturb these markers.

- Also please do not disturb markers/flags for gas (yellow), electrical (red), fiber (orange), and telecommunication (orange).
