Updates from Delta 3 - Construction Progress Update #8

Traffic Control:

• Traffic control has been installed per the project plans.
• The contractor will maintain traffic control during this project.
• Flagging will be provided by contractor as needed.
• Please continue to follow road closed/traffic control signage.
  • Between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:30 pm the contractor has full use of areas under construction (except for emergency vehicles). 

 

Erosion Control:

• The contractor has installed erosion control, as per the project plans.
• During periods of dry weather, the contractor must provide dust control.
  • Streets will be swept throughout construction to maintain cleanliness. Dust will be common during these operations. 

 

Contractor’s Schedule (items started/completed):

• Began replacing/reconnecting water services on Commerce Street from Cowtippers to Wisconsin Electrical Service
• Installed all sanitary sewer laterals on Commerce Street
• Installed storm sewer catch basins from 105 to 103 Commerce Street
• Completed subgrade excavation on South Street and placed road base.

 

Contractor’s Schedule (two-week outlook):

• Week of May 25^th
  • Contractor plans to complete water main tie-ins on Tuesday May 26^th at the following locations:
    • South of the intersection of Old Darlington Road and Commerce Street
    • Intersection of Fountain Street and Commerce Street
  • Contractor plans to complete all remaining water services on Commerce Street
  • Contractor plans to complete all remaining storm sewer installations on Commerce Street
  • Contractor plans to begin subgrade excavation on Commerce Street from the intersection of Old Darlington Road and Commerce St. and will move north

 

• Week of June 1^st
  • Contractor plans to pour concrete curb and gutter on Commerce and South Street
    • An email update will be provided when the specific date is known.
  • Contractor plans to begin preparing for concrete sidewalk installation on South and Commerce Street.

 

Utility Relocations:

• There will be more utility relocations associated with this project.
  • For any service interruptions for gas, electric, cable TV, telephone, and internet, you will be notified by the respective utility company prior to interruption. 
  • If any of these services are interrupted without notification, please contact the associated utility company in order to get service reinstalled.

• Delta 3 Engineering has performed project staking.
  • The sanitary sewer, water main, and storm sewer on Commerce Street has been marked with pink flags, wooden hubs and colored paint.
  • The curb and gutter has been marked with pink flags, hubs, and colored paint on South and Commerce Streets.
    • Please do not disturb these markers.
• Also please do not disturb markers/flags for gas (yellow), electrical (red), fiber (orange), and telecommunication (orange).

 

Other Notes:

• If you have concerns with garbage pickup, please get in contact with the contractor so that they can properly dispose of any garbage that has not been picked up in the last three weeks
  • Please put the building number on trash bins in order for the contractor to return them to the correct location.

• Started removing sidewalk and curb on Commerce Street from the intersection of Old Darlington Road to 23 Commerce Street

  • Contractor plans to complete all sanitary sewer laterals on Commerce Street
  • Contractor plans to complete all water services on Commerce Street
  • Contractor plans to complete water main tie-ins:
    • South of the intersection of Old Darlington Road and Commerce Street
    • Intersection of Fountain Street and Commerce Street.
  • Contractor plans to complete storm sewer catch basin installation on Commerce and South Street
  • Contractor plans to begin undercutting South Street

 

• Week of May 25th
  • Contractor plans to finish undercutting South Street
  • Contractor plans to begin undercutting Commerce Street at the intersection of Old Darlington Road and Commerce Street.

  • Contractor plans to perform a water main tie-in on Front Street on Monday May 11th.
  • Contractor plans to complete sanitary sewer main on South Street from The Board Shoppe to Vine Street.
  • Contractor plans to install all sanitary sewer laterals on South and Commerce Street.
  • Contractor plans to install Storm Sewer at the intersection of Front Street and Commerce Street.
  • Contractor plans to install water services throughout Commerce Street.

 

• Week of May 18th
  • Contractor plans to finish installing water services throughout Commerce Street.
  • Contractor plans to finish all remaining storm sewer on the Project site.
  • Contractor plans to begin undercutting Commerce Street at the intersection of Old Darlington Road and Commerce Street.

  • Contractor plans to perform a water main tie in on Front Street
    • Potential water shutoff/tie-in this week
  • Contractor Plans to Complete water main from South Street to the intersection of Fountain Street and Commerce Street

• Contractor has begun installing water main south of the intersection of Commerce Street and Old Darlington Road and are moving north.

  • Contractor will continue installing water main on Commerce Street
  • Contractor will continue installing storm sewer between 105 and 23 Commerce Street
  • Contractor will begin installing storm sewer on Commerce Street and South Street (weather dependent). 
  • Contractor may begin installing sanitary sewer at the intersection of Commerce Street and Old Darlington Road and will move north.
  • Possible scheduled water shutoff on Wednesday or Thursday. Once the exact date is known, residents/businesses/etc. will be notified.

  • Contractor plans to continue installing water main on Commerce Street
  • Contractor plans to continue installing storm sewer on Commerce Street and South Street
  • Contractor plans to continue or start installing sanitary sewer main on Commerce Street
