Tour of Homes

 The Mineral Point Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce the return of the much-anticipated Tour of Homes after a four-year hiatus. On Saturday, May 6, from 10am-4pm, ticket holders will have the rare opportunity to step inside nine of the most beautiful and interesting homes in town. 

The homes on the tour range from a historically restored miner’s cabin to a newly built stone and brick home that blends in perfectly with its 1840’s neighbors.  The Tour of Homes is a wonderful opportunity to experience firsthand the fine caliber of historic homes in Mineral Point, and to gain a deeper appreciation for the city's rich cultural heritage. 

The event promises to be a showcase of the finest examples of historic home renovations with several of the homes featuring recently renovated kitchens and bathrooms. If you are considering a home improvement project, this tour will provide plenty of inspiration. This is a unique chance to not only get a firsthand glimpse of recent renovations but to ask the homeowners or knowledgeable volunteers about the process. 

If you’re interested in history, this tour will offer plenty of information to take in. Because most of the homes are of historical significance they have been extensively researched and offer a glimpse into the city's fascinating past. Through the restoration of these homes, Mineral Point has been able to preserve its cultural heritage and ensure that future generations can appreciate the beauty and significance of these architectural treasures.

Tickets are available for $20 per person, with the option to upgrade to a deluxe brown bag lunch for $30. To secure your spot, call the Chamber office at 987-3201.
