SUMMARY:Sketchbooks as a Piece of Art
DESCRIPTION:Accordion or concertina sketchbooks have been around for a long time. Their appearance is different from a normal sketchbook with one continuous page that folds in and out upon itself. In this workshop\, you will learn step by step how to make one hard-covered sketchbook and one with no cover in a card formation. We will approach the surfaces of the sketchbook in a variety of ways. Everything is possible and nothing will be left out. Working with collage papers\, students will apply these materials to the surface of the sketchbook page\, along with acrylics\, inks\, drawing materials\, stamping\, splattering\, mark making\, stenciling\, fibers and even the element of the handmade stitch. These sketchbooks will be an artistic statement all their own. Check out this sample!\n\nMaterials fee includes Iron-Tack\, encaustic or house iron\, book board\, gloss medium\, Gesso\, misc. papers and additional supplies\, as well as instructional packet.\n\nClass size 16\n\nLevel Intermediate and above\n\nFor more information and to register visit\, https://shakeragalley.org/product/25r0924l/\n\n\n\nIf the workshop you're interested in is sold out\, you can join the waitlist here: https://shakeragalley.org/workshops/
