SUMMARY:Free Popcorn and a Movie: My Garden of a Thousand Bees
DESCRIPTION:In the film My Garden of a Thousand Bees a veteran wildlife cameraman seeking refuge from the pandemic\, filmed the wild bees that live in his Bristol\, England city garden. By the end of the summer\, he became bee obsessed and developed relationships with some bees! From giant bumblebees to scissor bees the size of a mosquito\, he filmed over 60 species. Most people think of bees as honeybees\, but the majority of bees are "wild" bees who make their homes in tunnels underground or holes carved from wood\, and most are single mothers with their tiny broods hidden in a nest. This documentary will enlighten viewers about the incredible diversity of bees and of the mini-drama playing out in our own backyards. running time: 55 minutes
