| FRANK POLIZZI.
A full-time potter in Mineral Point’s art scene for
more than 3 decades, Frank Polizzi creates practical and durable wood
fired stoneware and porcelain that reflect the strength and vitality of
the age-old dynamic between the artist’s hand and the
user’s hand. By using materials, equipment and techniques of
pre-industrial times, he discovers the wonderful, natural effects of
creating pieces on a kick wheel, hand decorating with locally dug
glazes, and firing with wood. His summer studio/gallery is open
